Unless the texting law is actually enforced, it is totally pointless and a waste of time for the legislators to even think about.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8832026755264748338.post-31974107100816916462009-06-12T13:13:57.125-05:002009-06-12T13:13:57.125-05:00How far is the government going to go with the law...How far is the government going to go with the laws? If they are going to ban texting, then they need to ban eating, drinking, changing the radio station, changing cds, putting on makeup, being sleepy, etc. I even read an article that said that drivers who were given a thought intensive question made just as many mistakes as people texting. So, are we going to ban people from thinking too? It's just ridiculous. We all know what not to do while driving. We aren't supposed to speed either...Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8832026755264748338.post-13468614411361905052009-06-11T12:29:22.934-05:002009-06-11T12:29:22.934-05:00There needs to be greater punishment for careless ...There needs to be greater punishment for careless driving, ie: texting, eating (with only knees manuevering the wheel), etc. There are many forms of careless bahavior while attempting to get to a destination. Motorists invite many distractions into their driving habits and don't think twice if they have the luxury of arriving safely. I would ban use of any item other than what is manufactured into the vehicle, for the driver. When the law is abused there should be punishment to fit the crime. Monetary punishment is not a sufficient punishment.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8832026755264748338.post-29699452284002710342009-06-11T06:48:31.505-05:002009-06-11T06:48:31.505-05:00The sad thing is that if death</B does not dete...The sad thing is that if death</B does not deter someone from texting while driving, what good do we really think a law will do?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8832026755264748338.post-4974131981978463072009-06-10T15:59:24.977-05:002009-06-10T15:59:24.977-05:00I rode with a guy who was checking basketball scor...I rode with a guy who was checking basketball scores while driving.
