The steam engine is owned and operated by Union Pacific, which schedules it for special events in 23 states. The schedule is dictated by special requests and with Union Pacific's approval. It's appearance in Missouri this year was due to the celebration of the city of Sedalia's 150th anniversary. Sedalia has a long, rich railroad history. <br /><br />After that celebration, the train returned to Wyoming, where it is kept.
